8 Garden Projects in Baxter County:
Bull Shoal-White River State Park Gardens and Fish Hatchery Gardens are outside of Mountain Home. The Fairgrounds Gardens, Extension Office Gardens, Cooper Park Gardens, Memorial Gardens, Pollinator Garden at the Library, Clysta Willett Nature Gardens are all in Mountain Home, Here are brief directions-follow the signs as you near the areas.
Bull Shoals White River State Park Gardens: Hwy 5 N to Midway, take left at Hwy 178. 9 miles and turn left for the park. Continue straight past the registration office to the big Springs area.
Fish Hatchery Gardens: Take Hwy 5 South. Turn left at the Y Store to Hwy 177 and continue to the base of the dam. On the left is the Norfolk National fish Hatchery.
Fairgrounds Gardens: Located at the Baxter County Fairgrounds just off Wade Street in Mountain Home.
Memorial Gardens AND Cooper Park Gardens are across from each other on Spring Street
Memorial Gardens: Take Cardinal Street to the stop sign at Spring Street, follow signs. Drive the First Presbyterian Church. Turn into the parking lot in front of the church
Cooper Park has 2 entrances by which you can get to the project. Turn in at an entrance and park at the very back of the lot go to the walking trail and proceed to the cabins.
The Extension Office Garden is on the corner of Highway 5 S (Ninth St) and 62B. Parking is available at the top pf the hill by the Extension office.
Clysta Willett Nature Gardens: Rossi Road to the ball fields . Turn LEFT once in the park, on the paved road BEFORE the ball fields. Park by the trail entrance in walk in to the project.
Library Pollinator Garden:
Located at the Donald W Reynolds Library at 300 Library Drive. Go past the main library entrance and park to the LEFT by the book drop off area
