Parade Instructions
RED WHITE BLUE PARADE 2010
THEME: “Star Spangled Pride”
Friday, June 25, 5:30 PM
- There is NO REGISTRATION required for the parade. HOWEVER—FLOATS must be clearly marked for judging if they want to be judged. (best to mark floats on both sides for all to see)
- Judging will be done as floats enter onto Highway 5 (after the parade starts)
- Winners will be announced after the parade via local radio stations and the Baxter Bulletin.
- LINE UP is between 4:15-5:30. PARADE BEGINS at 5:30 pm.
- **New!!! PARADE will continue on South Main Street (past Guy Berry School) this year to the ASUMH campus. If you are not able to continue to the campus, please take a left at South Main & East 10th (in front of Guy Berry) and avoid stopping the rest of the parade traffic. There will be parking at ASUMH for parade vehicles.
- DO NOT throw candy from vehicles…for the safety of the children. Have walkers beside the floats to toss the candy to onlookers.
LINE UP INSTRUCTIONS:
ALL PARADE ENTRIES will enter off of Hwy 178 and turn onto Bucher Drive. Keep Hospital Drive CLEAR for any medical emergencies.
ALL FLOATS will line up on the corner of Burnett & Buttercup. Judging will be done as floats enter onto Highway 5 (after the parade starts).
ALL CARS, TRACTORS, OTHER VEHICLES (business vehicles, etc.) will assemble at the corner of Burnett & Beard Street.
FIRE TRUCKS & EMERGENCY VEHICLES line up on Medical Plaza.
MARCHING BANDS and WALKERS will line up in the First Security Parking Lot on Highway 5 North and Hospital Drive.
HORSES will enter from Hwy 178 and wait in the Cardiovascular Associates lot on Buttercup.
